Planning Your Visit
Q. What are the opening times for the garden centre?
We are open: Mon-Sat 9.00am-5:30pm, Sun 10:30am-4:30pm. We are closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday.
Q. What times are the restaurants open?
Applejack’s Main Restaurant open: Mon-Sat 9.30am-5:00pm, Sun 10:30am-4:00pm
Orchard Coffee Bar and Pizzeria open: Mon-Sun 10am–3pm (4.30pm on bank holidays). Pizza is served from 12.00am-2.30pm.
Orchard Ice-Cream Parlour open: Monday-Friday 3pm–5pm, Saturday 10.30am–5pm, Sunday 11am–4pm (subject to weather conditions).
Q. Does the Garden Centre have any toilet facilities?
Yes, they are located on the left handside of the main till area. A Disabled toilet is provided.
Q. Do I need to book in advance at any of the restaurants?
No, there is no need to book. We have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available over all 3 of our restaurants.
Q. Do you offer gluten free and vegan options?
Yes, we offer both gluten free and vegan options in all of our food and beverage areas.
Q. Are dogs allowed in the garden centre?
Yes, they are allowed in the garden centre but not inside the restaurants. They are also allowed in the outdoor seating area of Applejack’s restaurant.
Q. Do you have child-friendly trolleys?
Yes we do.
Q. Do I need to book the Mini-Golf and where do I collect the clubs and balls?
There is no need to book the Mini-Golf. Just make your way to the till point at the end of the shop and our staff will take payment and issue you with the equipment.
Q. I see you have a children’s Play Area and Go-Karts. Do I have to pay for these?
No, there is no charge for these facilities. There is a charge for the Mini-Golf only.
Q. Do you have anyone available to give plant advice?
We have trained members of staff on site that are able to talk you through all aspects of the plants we sell and give you step by step advice on how to improve your garden.
Q. Do you stock organic, non-chemical fertiliser or peat-free compost?
Yes we do. We offer organic plant food which is 100% chemical free and peat-free compost.
Q. Do you sell your own gift vouchers?
We sell our own gift vouchers in store at the till area or online. They come in various denominations. We also offer a `Tea for Two` with our ‘Afternoon Tea’ gift voucher which makes a perfect present. We also sell HTA giftcards.
Q. How can I join your Loyalty Scheme and how do we collect points?
You can join the Loyalty Scheme and our Wild Bird Club at the till point in store and once you receive your card, you will be able to collect points in all areas of the shop apart from the restaurants. You can then use these points to save money and spend in the store. If you have any queries on joining or collecting points, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. Do you offer online shopping if I cannot make it into the store?
Yes, we offer a range of products including our Star Buys online. Please visit www.twentypence.co.uk to order online for local delivery or we can arrange ‘Click and Collect’ from our goods collection area.
Q. A product is avaliable on the website, but isn't in store. Why is that?
Both our website and in-store shop run as two different entities. Unfortunatley our website isn't currently running on a live stock basis, and so some products may say they are avaliable but in actuallity they aren't at the current time of ordering. In this case we will offer refunds for those products or we will contact you if there are any suitable subsitiutes for the product.
In some instances products may be cheaper on the website than in-store. This is intentional. As previously mentioned both areas are completley seperate from each other. Customers are more than welcome to order through our website for click and collect to get the best deal! Subject to a 48hr contact/picking window.
